Sayama Hojicha is a roasted green tea with the aroma of burnt sugar, toasted sesame and flavors of dark chocolate, walnut, and cherry. The leaves are Kyoto-style strong roasted to remove astringency and strengthen the fragrance. The low caffeine and earthy taste of hojicha make this an excellent evening tea.
Produced by the Morita family who have been farming green tea for over ten generations and grow 100% Sayama-cha tea.
